Adherence to Dietary Guidelines among Diabetes Patients: Comparison between Elderly and Non-Elderly Groups

This study aimed to compare adherence dietary guidelines between elderly and non-elderly individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Korea. Data of 4,577 participants T2DM were collected from the 1998-2015 Korea National Health Nutrition Examination Surveys. The classified into two groups based on age: group comprising aged 30-64 years ≥ 65 years. Adherence was assessed using Korean Diabetes Association-Korean Ministry Welfare (KDA-KMHW) index, six components for patients.
